This course has been designed to develop the knowledge and the skill to be able to erect and dismantle a range of basic scaffolding systems.



Pre-entry Requirements:

  • USI and sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course
  • Fitness to participate and Safety PPE and Footwear
  • Participants must be 18 years or over and 2 forms of ID and certified photos for the application of High Risk Work Licence

Our aim with this course is to provide the participants with the skills and the knowledge to safely perform basic scaffolding work, which may lead to the assessments required by the relevant State or Territory to issue a High Risk Work Licence for Rigging Basic. Note: An additional fee is charged by the relevant state or territory regulatory bodies for the issuance of High Risk Work Licences.


  • Plan the job, identify hazards and implement controls

  • Erecting and dismantling of scaffolding
  • Inspect, repair and alter erected scaffolding
