Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
This course covers entering and working in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning and preparing for entry of confined spaces; entry and working in confined spaces, exiting confined spaces and cleaning up.
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmospheres
The general purpose of this course is for any person that enters and works in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning, preparing for entry into confined space, entering and working in confined spaces exiting confined spaces, cleaning up and any person required to test the working atmosphere to determine if it is safe for the proposed work.
Note: This course is recognised by Sydney Water.
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmospheres Refresher
The general purpose of this course is to refresh the participant’s knowledge and skills in the procedures and processes of entering a confined space as well as determining the working atmosphere is safe to do so.

Enter Confined Space without Breathing Apparatus
This competency applies to persons who are required to enter confined space, for maintenance purposes, for cleaning, inspection or other reasons. It is required by all persons who are required to enter a confined space, as defined by the standard AS2865 requires reassessment 'at appropriate intervals'. The industry regards reassessment on a two to three year cycle as good practice.
This unit includes:
- Preparing to enter the confined space
- Checking the preparations against the permit conditions
- Entering the confined space
Gas Test Atmospheres
Gas test atmospheres course is designed for students who could be required to undertake routine procedures requiring the use of portable atmospheric monitoring equipment. The successful student will be competent to work in situations requiring the use of portable atmospheric monitoring equipment.
Introduction to Confined Space Rescue
This introductory course provides guidance and outlines procedures for people who required a basic understanding and knowledge of confined space rescues in the preparations, risk assessments, performing of rescues and concluding rescue operations to a basic level.
Undertake Confined Space Rescue
This course covers the competency to undertake rescue in confined spaces as a member of a single agency or multi-disciplinary team.
