Provide First Aid
This nationally recognised course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings. There are legislated requirements in each state in relation to this training. These requirements will be documented in each states approved code of practice for first aid.

This training course involves the completion of a theory workbook prior to the start of the training session (taking approximately 3 hours) which is submitted on the morning of the training course.
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty and applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.
Note: This training course involves the completion of a theory workbook prior to the start of the training session (taking approximately 2 hours). It is a requirement that this workbook be completed prior to training and bought on the day of training as a reference.

- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Chest pain
- Fractures, strains and sprains
- Bites and stings
- Environmental illnesses
- Spinal, head and facial injuries
- Asthma and anaphylaxis

Assessment of this course is through written and practical assessment including the observation of students carrying out a range of scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
Classroom theory via PowerPoint or the issued learner resource including use of audio-visual material and practical activities.
