Risk Management and Preparing SWMS
This workshop is designed for managers and other workers involved in the development and delivery of SWMS for high risk construction and/or as part of their general risk management approach
Work Health and Safety Legislation imposes specific requirements for the development, communication, review and record keeping of Safe Work Methods Statements (SWMS) for high risk construction work. Implementation of SWMS program for general organisational hazards can also assist in meeting legislation requirements by providing evidence of consultation, communication, information/instruction/training and identification and control of risk
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge and skills on:
- Legislative requirements for a SWMS
- Risk Management Principles
- Documenting a SWMS/JSA
- Implementing a SWMS/ JSA program
There is no formal assessment as part of this course. Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
Training will be delivered within a public training facility utilising theory and practical activities. Delivery will include instructor led presentations / scenarios.
